BRIEF BIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

Akhmedova Gulnara Barathan Kyzy was born on February 18, 1980, in an intelligent family in the town of Shamakhi. After graduating from school in the 1996-2000s. she received her education at the Faculty of Geography of Baku State University.

EDUCATION, SCIENTIFIC DEGREES AND SCIENTIFIC VOCATION

• 1996-2000-s received a bachelor's degree in Baku State University at the Faculty of Geography
• In 2000-2002 she received a master’s degree in Geomorphology, Department of Physical Geography, at the Faculty of Geography.
• 2002-2005 she studied in the graduate school of ANAS –the Institute of Geography named after Acad. H.A. Aliyev
• In 2009, she defended dissertation work on the theme “Natural conditions of the Lesser Caucasus in the Middle and Late Pleistocines, and Human Paleoecology” and received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of Geographical Sciences.

LABOR ACTIVITY

• 2002 - 2006 Geologist of the 1st category of exploration of geology in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

• 2010-2014 Watch teacher at the Faculty of Geography, BSU.
• 2015 teacher at the Department of Physical Geography, Faculty of Geography, BSU.
• 2009-2017 published a monograph on paleogeography, paleoecology, landscape science and landscape ecology, as well as 3 curricula and more than 30 scientific articles. She spoke at regional and international conferences, respublika. Articles were published in such countries as the USA, Great Britain, Russia, France, Australia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, etc.

FIELD OF STUDY

• Scientific studies are devoted to geographical geomorphology, paleogeography, paleoecology, human ecology, landscape science, landscape transformation, landscape ecology, etc.
• Teaches lectures and seminars in such disciplines as “Geomorphology of Azerbaijan”, “General Geomorphology”, “Physical Geography of the Caucasus”, “Basics of Geomorphology and Geology”, “Physical Geography of the Caspian Sea”.
